"We have probably never talked so little about work as after we started working together. When the workday is over, we set work aside and enjoy our free time with exercise, woodworking, walks with Hero (our dog), our children, and social gatherings with family and friends."

When you start something on your own, you have to take risks, and we took a big one by mortgaging both our house and cabin. We had a knot in our stomachs, considering we had four kids (yours and mine) to think about. But with hard work, good planning, and many sleepless nights, we can say we have moved forward. That doesn’t mean we can "take it easy" — we work just as hard and determinedly today, but we’re probably a bit tougher than we were 10-15 years ago.

Would we do it again? Yes, absolutely — For us, financial success have never been a motivation - for us there has always been a desire to create something, create jobs and prove that with hard work, any dream can be achieved. Our dream is for Cool Clown to grow big so we can hire more people and create new jobs.

That’s why we now want to turn our attention to a new venture, Cool Clown - just different - but this time, the focus is different. Inspired by our own struggles, we now want to help new entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

The idea behind Cool Clown was precisely to create a brand that was a little different. We have first hand quality and wanted humor and a "twinkle in the eye" to be part of the brand. For that reason, each garment has its own Norwegian slogan. For many, starting something on their own is the hardest step, especially from a financial standpoint. This is exactly where our unique Cool Clown comes in, to make your startup a little easier.

We want to help other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams, and that’s why we will set aside 10% of our own profits for a fund. Here, you have the opportunity to apply for funds to start your own business. We can’t help everyone, but hopefully some day we could help someone to succeed!
